In 1872 Carl Reuther and Carl Bopp established a special factory for manufacture of pumps and heavy-duty valves. This was the beginning of our company. In 1900 Bopp & Reuther supplies 60 % of the world’s demand of water gate valves. 1932 the oval wheel meter principle was developed by Bopp & Reuther and protected under patent in this year. The first Weights and Measure approval was issued by the PTR in Berlin in 1933. 1972 Flow metering, batch and control technology – Bopp & Reuther directed its production range towards the increasing demand for automation. 1995 Introduction of the new Series of Density Meter DIMF 2.0. 2002 Bopp & Reuther Messtechnik GmbH moved to Speyer where it is based until today. 2005 Acquisition of the company METRA Energie-Messtechnik GmbH (formerly Danfoss IWK Controls Limited) and expanding the product range
